A comprehensive plan, as defined on the Wisconsin Department of Administration website is “a local government’s guide to community physical, social, and economic development. Comprehensive plans are not meant to serve as land use regulations in themselves; instead, they provide a rational basis for local land use decisions with a twenty-year vision for future planning and community decisions.”
Development of a comprehensive plan requires local participation in setting a direction for the future of the community. The comprehensive plan was most recently updated in 2016 and 2017 with the current version reviewed at a Public Hearing on June 12, 2017 and approved by the Town Board on July 10, 2017.
